What Data We Collect
- Email address – collected for launching and confirming your SQL Lab environment, and for subscription to product launch announcements.
Purpose and Legal Basis
We process your email address to provide you with access to SQL Labs and to improve our service. The legal basis is:
- Contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) – processing is necessary to provide the service you requested.
- Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) – ensuring secure and functional lab access, and improving our service through feedback collection.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) – if you separately opt-in to our mailing list for product announcements and updates.
How We Use Your Data
- To send you a confirmation link to access your SQL Lab.
- To communicate essential information about your lab session.
- To send you exactly one feedback request email within 60 days following your lab launch, as part of our service improvement efforts.
- If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list (a separate, optional action), you will receive product launch announcements and updates.
Beyond the single feedback email related to your lab usage, we do not use your email for marketing purposes and do not share it with third parties, except where required by law.
Data Retention
- We retain your email address for up to 60 days after lab launch.
- After 60 days, your email is automatically deleted from our systems.
- An additional up to 7 days may be required for backup retention, after which the data is fully removed.
